Art classes and school break camps for kids, in a professional artist’s studio in Crown Heights
Located on Dean St and Classon Ave, Amelie Mancini’s art studio offers a welcoming space for children to explore their creativity through drawing, painting, printmaking, and more. Through hands-on experimentation and playful projects, students discover new materials, develop their own ideas, and build confidence in their artistic practice.
Afterschool Class - Fall Session
Ages 8-12. Thursdays, 3-5:30pm, from Sept 17 to Dec 17, 2026
Designed for kids in grades 3–5, this 13-week program provides a strong foundation in drawing and painting while encouraging curiosity, experimentation, and creative thinking. Each week, we'll look at an important artist, artwork or art movement and discover new ways of thinking about art and developing a creative practice. In the studio, we'll explore composition, form, light and color while experimenting with different mediums, from watercolor to acrylic and ink.
School Breaks - Camp Days
Ages 8-12. 9-3pm. Fall dates: Oct 12, Nov 11 2026
Explore color, pattern, and repetition in a day of creative experimentation. Through playful drawing games and imaginative exercises, we’ll develop our own visual ideas before learning to print on fabric using stamps, stencils, and colorful inks. Experiment with layering, repeating motifs, and combining patterns to transform plain fabric into a one-of-a-kind textile creation.
